Every year, the impacts of severe hydro-meteorological events around the world give rise to multiple casualties and significant damage to property and infrastructure, with the adverse economic consequences levied on society. Many of these severe events can be well forecasted, and accurate warning information could be disseminated in a timely fashion.
Our technology deals with hazardous and destructive meteorological phenomena that regularly pose a threat to shipping, farming, mining, aviation, construction, power generation, gritting, supplies and much more industries than most people think.Early detection of storms, tornadoes, thunderstorms, hurricanes, as well as obscuration factors like fog, smoke, precipitation is crucial for emergency weather warnings and taking precautions to avoid or minimize material loss and damage or injuries of people. Such disaster risk reduction practices require institutional arrangements at the national levels for disaster prediction, warning, monitoring and management and are intended by the UN-led Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
